The forged Morrisseau genre, its spirit, purpose and symbols.

Can you imagine your life's work of beautifying the world poisoned with such a toxic spirit? He was forced to "watch" it all happen while frozen in time. Its beyond imagination.
Love has never been the goal of the artist who painted the "Maker's Watch". I have studied this artist's work and I've seen multiple paintings by this forger with my own eyes, many as large as 30ft x 12 ft. In my judgement this artist's work is truely powerful yet what is the nature of the energy that is empowering these paintings?"
A symbolic commonality of the paintings of this "artist" is entrapment. An underground or underwater theme prevails. Creatures emerge out of rock from all directions. Strange, cold aboriginal heads join the emergence. When I look at this work its like a nighmare. The colours vibrate into the lower octaves of sombre stone. Their is no love here, yet there is power. Talismanic Power. Shamanic power. There is no joy here, yet there is action.
Instead of giving energy to people the way authentic Norval Morrisseaus do, those that are subject to this art open themselves up to black magic, which sucks the life out of the living. Like a black hole it draws one's spirit down into the underworld and chaos.
Interpretation The Maker's Watch painting shows Norval, to the upper left with a bird on his head symbolizing his "third eye" status. The other three "watchers" are his Thunderbird School apprentices. Through a portal, or window, they witness the unfolding drama. Floating in a canoe on a sea of desire the forgers enjoy their freedom from the "underground", lifted by their dirty deed. One forger is praising the sun, a sight only seen because of leeching on to the Spirit of the Copper Thunderbird pictured floating above the canoe. The thunderbird's wings show three small feathers which symbolize the three forger painters. The fourth larger, deeper colour feather symbolizes the "man behind the curtain". This person is also represented by the large bird that sits on the canoe supervising the artists and giving them instructions. Just think of "the penguin" from the Batman movie. Underwater we see four fish that represent the emotions of the four Thunderbird School representatives. Four Stars which dot a yellow sky just beyond the "window" also represent the school. A fifth large fish symbolic of the emotions of the forgers attracts attention. At the bottom of the canvass is a creature with a mouth like a crocodile. It is the foundational energy of this painting. The artists calls this creature a bear though certainly not a medicine bear as Norval painted. The upper portion is dominated by serpents. Though there is a window on the world the whole vision takes place underground.The painting as a whole is a stream of consiousness artwork. This person is channeling dark energy from an ancient well.

The consistancy of these paintings also show a palete of colours being trimmed down with titainium white to "soften" the deep colour spectrum that Norval would paint with. The colour sequences are not in alignment with true Morrisseau finesse and boldness. All of the "teeth" patterns are the same on all the animals as well. Another common inconsistancy with these paintings is the lack of "inter-connected lines" from circle to circle. Another point is the flowers growing from the rocks and the badly painted arrangements of forms on all the heads of the human figures. The image of the snake chasing it's tail is quite fortelling.......along with the title of the painting.......maker's watch, it suggests to me that the makers of this art are on the watch. keeping "6" so to speak, on the lookout and the portrait of the 4 humans hoping against hope.......that the bubble doesn't burst because if it does......as you can see by the canoe and it's passanger's, they will be "up shit creek without a paddle". Im sitting here at my studio, working on 4 new paintings. As I started with my infusion of pink/magenta.......it dawns on me how this fraudulent art market is a necessary evil. The process of this is all too meaningful. It suggests that the darkness of this art.......is the opposite of the "True Norval Morrisseau art" thus bringing to my spiritual attention the even brighter reality of Norval's art. Like any garden of true artistic genius, the "weeds" must be identified, and pulled out from the roots. It is the process of cutting away the virus and infection that has "appeared to taint" the true genius of Norval Morrisseau. The mystery here is not that these "fakes" are causing the illusion, the illusion is that others are not "enlightened" to what is "TRUE MORRISSEAU". Anyone who really knows what is Morrisseau art and what isn't, already understands the beauty of true identification. That those who are in conflict trying to defend what is commonly known as "fake", haven't as of yet come to the truth about the genuine art of Norval Morrisseau. The information is already out there on how to "see" what is and what isn't. Show me a photo with Norval painting these "fakes" and show me a photo of Norval posing with these "fakes".......and it's end of discussion, end to the contraversy........period! It isn't that we who are saying what is and what isn't are in the wrong or darkness, it is those trying to defend what is proported to be "fake"........that cannot for the life of me.......produce a photo with Norval painting these so-called Morrisseau paintings from the 70's. When, anything else with the "true" Morrisseau finesse from the 1970's, can document that "style" with numerous pictures of Norval himself painting that style.........where are the pictures with Norval painting that "dark style"?..........I haven't seen one yet?......not one......anywhere......period!.......Thunderbird school spiritual mechanics 101!.........MAJ 2008!
And another thing.........has anyone talked to Christian, David and Bruce, and Eugene and Benji and any other " Morrisseau relative about what is going on with those new "fakes"?........what garbage that shit is.......I can smell that crap from a mile away.......I am a young master in this school, you sure ain't fooling me......period!.......Thunderbird school spiritual mechanics 101.......MAJ 2008!
